§ 113‑257. Reportof Commission to Governor and legislature; recommendations for legislativeaction; examination of accounts and books by Auditor.
The Commission shall keep accurate accounts of all receipts anddisbursements and shall report to the Governor and the legislature of the Stateof North Carolina on or before the tenth day of December in each year, settingforth in detail the transactions conducted by it during the 12 months precedingDecember 1 of that year and shall make recommendations for any legislativeaction deemed by it advisable, including amendments to the statutes of theState of North Carolina which may be necessary to carry out the intent andpurposes of the compact between the signatory states.
The Auditor of the State of North Carolina is hereby authorized andempowered from time to time to examine the accounts and books of theCommission, including its receipts, disbursements and such other itemsreferring to its financial standing as such Auditor may deem proper and toreport the results of such examination to the Governor of such State.
