§ 106‑405. Prohibitedacts; penalties.
(a)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Except as providedin G.S. 106‑404, any person who knowingly and willfully violates anyprovision of this Part is guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor.
(b)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â It is prohibitedthat any person knowingly and willfully:
(1)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Hide or conceal anyanimals that are subject to a quarantine under this Part.
(2)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Fail to report theoccurrence of an animal disease for which a quarantine under this Part is ineffect.
(c)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Any person who hascommitted an act that is prohibited under subsection (b) of this section shallbe subject to an administrative penalty not to exceed ten thousand dollars($10,000) per violation.
