§ 106‑246. Cleanliness and sanitation required;washrooms and toilets, living and sleeping rooms; animals.
For the protection of the health of the people of the State, all placeswhere ice cream, milk shakes, milk sherbet, sherbet, water ices and othersimilar frozen or semifrozen food products are made for sale, all creameries,butter and cheese factories, when in operation, shall be kept clean and in asanitary condition. The floors, walls, and ceilings of all workrooms where theproducts of plants named herein are made, mixed, stored or handled shall besuch that same can be kept in a clean and sanitary condition. All windows,doors, and other openings shall be effectively screened during fly season. Suitable washrooms shall be maintained, and if a toilet is attached, it shallbe of sanitary construction and kept in a sanitary condition. No person shallbe allowed to live or sleep in such factory unless rooms so occupied areseparate and apart from the work or storage rooms. No horses, cows, or otheranimal shall be kept in such factories or close enough to contaminate productsof same unless separated by impenetrable wall without doors, windows or otheropenings.
