§104‑14. Use declared paramount public purpose.
In such condemnationproceedings the uses for which such land or property is condemned are herebydeclared to be for a purpose paramount to all other public uses, and the factthat any portion of it has heretofore been condemned by a railroad company, astreet railway company, telephone or telegraph company, or other public servicecorporation, or by any political subdivision of the State of North Carolina,for public uses, or has been conveyed by any person or corporation for any suchpublic uses, or vested in the State Board of Education, or by any other actdedicated to any public use, shall in no way affect the right of the State ofNorth Carolina, or the United States government, to proceed and condemn suchland and property as hereinbefore provided.
