39-4-5. [Recording and indexing notice.]
The county clerk and recorder shall record such notice in a book kept for that purpose and shall index the same in the records of his office, and when so filed [it] shall be notice to the public of the facts therein recited, and [he] shall receive a fee of fifty cents [($.50)] for filing, recording and indexing the same.
