17B:27-36. New entrants
There shall be a provision that all new employees or new members, as the case may be, in the groups or classes eligible for such insurance must be added to such eligible groups or classes.

17B:27-36.1.Eligibility for enrollment under policy providing hospital, medical expense benefits.6.Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, an insurer shall not consider a person's eligibility for medical assistance pursuant to P.L.1968, c.413 (C.30:4D-1 et seq.), or the equivalent statute in another state, when determining the person's eligibility for enrollment in, or the provision of benefits under, a policy providing hospital or medical expense benefits delivered, issued or executed in this State, or approved for issuance in this State by the Commissioner of Insurance.
