Section 161-F:56 Access to Information.
In the course of an investigation conducted pursuant to this subdivision, the department's authorized representative may make any inquiries and obtain such information as is necessary to further such investigation. The department's authorized representative may review and photocopy any books, files, medical records, financial records, photographs or other records on any medium of an alleged victim of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. In the event any person or agency refuses to allow the department access to materials necessary to further its investigation, the probate court, upon a finding of probable cause, may order the person or agency to release its records to the department.
