Section 4-C:23 Regional Water Resources Management and Protection Plans.

Municipalities are hereby authorized and encouraged to enter into agreements with other municipalities for the purpose of developing and implementing regional water plans and ordinances to enhance the effectiveness of their local water plans where water protection needs to extend beyond municipal boundaries. Appropriate action of the municipalities by ordinance, resolution or other action shall be necessary before any such agreement may enter into force, and the agreement shall be adopted pursuant to RSA 53-A. Municipalities are encouraged to seek the assistance of their regional planning commission in the development and implementation of their regional water plan, and shall coordinate these plans with the regional water resource planning efforts of their commission.
