647.0193 Local regulation of certain advertising. The board of county commissioners of a county or the governing body of a city may, by ordinance, prohibit any person from advertising within its respective jurisdiction as a junk dealer or a secondhand dealer unless the person holds a valid license to engage in such a business within the jurisdiction. The county or city may require that the number of the person’s business license be included in such advertising.

NRS 647.0195 Power of cities and counties to license, tax and regulate not impaired. The provisions of this chapter do not impair the power of cities and counties in this State to license, tax and regulate any person, firm or corporation now engaged in or hereafter engaged in the buying and selling of junk or scrap metal.
