487.870 - Removal of total loss salvage vehicle from State; penalty.

487.870  Removal of total loss salvage vehicle from State; penalty.

      1.  A person shall not remove a total loss salvage vehicle from this State to sell that vehicle unless the title has been forwarded to the state agency pursuant to subsection 1 of NRS 487.800.

      2.  A person who violates the provisions of this section:

      (a) If the value of the vehicle removed from this State is less than $250, is guilty of a misdemeanor.

      (b) If the value of the vehicle removed from this State is $250 or more, is guilty of a gross misdemeanor.
