1A.140 Person convicted of murder or voluntary manslaughter of member of System ineligible to receive benefits. Any person convicted of the murder or voluntary manslaughter of a member of the System is ineligible to receive any benefit conferred by any provision of this chapter or NRS 2.060 to 2.083, inclusive, or 3.090 to 3.099, inclusive, by reason of the death of that member. The System may withhold the payment of any benefit otherwise payable under this chapter by reason of the death of any member of the System from any person charged with the murder or voluntary manslaughter of that member, pending final determination of those charges.

NRS 1A.150 False statement or certification; withholding of information. A person who knowingly makes a false statement, certifies to an incorrect document or withholds information for the purpose of receiving or assisting another person in receiving benefits under this chapter to which he or she is not entitled is guilty of a gross misdemeanor.
