60-383. Film vehicles; registration; fees.(1) A film vehicle, subject to approval by the Department of Economic Development, may be registered upon application to the Department of Motor Vehicles. The Department of Motor Vehicles may provide distinctive license plates for such film vehicles. Such license plates shall be the same size and of the same basic design as regular license plates issued pursuant to section 60-3,100.(2) The registration for film vehicles shall be issued only with the payment of the fees required by section 60-3,102 and this section. The registration shall be valid for six months from the date of issuance and may be renewed for a period not to exceed three months upon payment of the renewal fee specified in this section.(3) The six-month registration fee for a film vehicle shall be fifty dollars for a film vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of sixteen thousand pounds or less and one hundred fifty dollars for a film vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of more than sixteen thousand pounds. The three-month renewal fee shall be twenty-five dollars. All fees collected by the Department of Motor Vehicles under this section shall be remitted to the State Treasurer for credit to the Highway Trust Fund. SourceLaws 2005, LB 274, § 83.
