61-6-122. Suspension for nonpayment of judgments -- exceptions. (1) The department, upon the receipt of a certified copy of a judgment, shall suspend the license and any nonresident's operating privilege of any person against whom a judgment was rendered, except as provided in this section and in 61-6-125.
     (2) If the judgment creditor consents in writing, in a form that the department prescribes, that the judgment debtor be allowed a license or a nonresident's operating privilege, the department may, in its discretion, allow the debtor a license or nonresident's operating privilege from the date of consent.
