577.510. 1. Upon receipt of a court order suspending orrevoking the driving privileges of a person pursuant to sections577.500 and 577.505, the director of revenue shall suspend thedriving privileges for ninety days or revoke the drivingprivileges of such person for a period of one year, providedhowever, that in the case of a person who at the time of theoffense was less than sixteen years of age, the period ofsuspension or revocation shall commence on that person'ssixteenth birthday. The provisions of chapter 302, RSMo, to thecontrary notwithstanding, the suspension or revocation shall beimposed without further hearing. Any person whose drivingprivileges have been suspended or revoked pursuant to sections577.500 and 577.505 may petition the circuit court for a hardshipdriving privilege and said application shall be determined andadministered in the same manner as allowed in section 302.309,RSMo.
2. The director of revenue shall permit the issuance of atemporary instruction permit in the same manner as allowed insubsection 2 of section 302.130, RSMo, to persons fifteen yearsof age and under seventeen years of age denied driving privilegesby court order pursuant to section 577.500. This exception onlyapplies to instruction permits that entitle a person to operate amotor vehicle on the highways in the presence of an authorizedinstructor.
