Causing catastrophe.
569.070. 1. A person commits the crime of causingcatastrophe if he knowingly causes a catastrophe by explosion,fire, flood, collapse of a building, release of poison,radioactive material, bacteria, virus or other dangerous anddifficult to confine force or substance.
2. "Catastrophe" means death or serious physical injury toten or more people or substantial damage to five or morebuildings or inhabitable structures or substantial damage to avital public facility which seriously impairs its usefulness oroperation.
3. Causing catastrophe is a class A felony.
