Lists of tangible personal property--authority of grand jury (firstclass counties).
540.331. The circuit judge exercising criminal jurisdictionshall give the lists prepared in accordance with section 137.155or 137.360, RSMo, in charge of the grand jury, who shall have theauthority to examine such list of property with a view ofinquiring into the correctness of such list. No such list shallbe altered, changed or amended after it is filed with the countyclerk, except by order of the county commission. Any person whoalters, changes or amends any such list without such order shallupon conviction be deemed guilty of a class A misdemeanor. Everycounty clerk or deputy county clerk who shall knowingly permitany such list to be altered, changed or amended without suchorder shall forfeit one hundred dollars, to be recovered by suitupon his official bond.
