Outgoing sheriff to complete sale--exception.
528.440. If any sale be made by any sheriff before he goesout of office, and the business be not completed when he ceasesto be sheriff, he may do all subsequent acts, collect and payover the money, and make the deed, in the same manner as if hecontinued to be sheriff, unless the court shall by order directthe business to be transferred to the next sheriff; in which caseall acts remaining to be done by the sheriff, at the date of suchorder, shall be done by the sheriff then in office.
