Reimbursement of costs of arrest, when--limitations.
488.5334. Upon a plea of guilty or a finding of guilty for an offense ofviolating the provisions of section 577.010 or 577.012, RSMo, or violations ofcounty or municipal ordinances involving alcohol or drug-related trafficoffenses, the court may, in addition to imposition of any penalties providedby law, order the convicted person to reimburse the state or local lawenforcement agency which made the arrest for the costs associated with sucharrest. Such costs shall include the reasonable cost of making the arrest,including the cost of any chemical test made under chapter 577, RSMo, todetermine the alcohol or drug content of the person's blood, and the costs ofprocessing, charging, booking and holding such person in custody. The stateand each local law enforcement agency may establish a schedule of such costs;however, the court may order the costs reduced if it determines that the costsare excessive.
