488.4014. 1. A fee of ten dollars shall be assessed in all cases inwhich the defendant pleads guilty or is found guilty of a nonfelonyviolation of any provision of chapters 252, 301, 302, 304, 306, 307 and390, RSMo, and any infraction otherwise provided by law, a fee oftwenty-five dollars shall be assessed in all misdemeanor cases otherwiseprovided by law in which the defendant pleads guilty or is found guilty,and a fee of seventy-five dollars shall be assessed in all felony cases inwhich the defendant pleads guilty or is found guilty, in criminal casesincluding violations of any county ordinance or any violation of a criminalor traffic law of the state, except that no such fees shall be collected inany proceeding in any court when the proceeding or the defendant has beendismissed by the court or when costs are to be paid by the state, county ormunicipality. All fees collected under the provisions of this sectionshall be collected and disbursed in the manner provided by sections 488.010to 488.020 and payable to the county treasurer who shall deposit thosefunds in the county treasury.
2. Counties shall be entitled to a judgment in the amount oftwenty-five percent of all sums collected, pursuant to this section, onrecognizances given to the state in criminal cases, which are or may becomeforfeited, if not more than five hundred dollars, and fifteen percent ofall sums over five hundred dollars, to be paid out of the amount collected.
