482.315. 1. If the amount in controversy in an action exceeds threethousand dollars, a plaintiff may file and prosecute a small claims actionfor recovery of money, but such plaintiff waives any claim for any sum inexcess of three thousand dollars in that or in any subsequent proceedinginvolving the same parties and issues.
2. In an action transferred under section 482.325, the plaintiff ordefendant may amend the claim or counterclaim to a dollar amount not toexceed the jurisdictional limit of the division of the circuit court towhich the action was transferred.
