Civil penalty, amount--attorney general, duties--funds paid to generalrevenue fund.
416.625. 1. Any person who violates any of the provisionsof section 416.615 shall forfeit and pay to the state a civilpenalty of a minimum of one thousand dollars and up to fivethousand dollars per violation. Each day on which a violationoccurs shall be considered a separate violation.
2. The attorney general, with such assistance as he mayrequire from the appropriate county prosecuting attorney, mayinvestigate suspected violations of sections 416.600 to 416.640and may commence and try all such actions for a civil penalty.All reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by a prosecutingattorney or the prosecuting attorney's staff in assisting theattorney general shall be reimbursed from appropriations made tothe attorney general. All funds recovered by the attorneygeneral shall be paid to the general revenue fund.
