416.465. 1. In making investigations pursuant to section416.450, the director is authorized and empowered to administeroaths and to issue subpoenas for persons and pertinent operatingrecords. In case of failure or refusal to obey a subpoena issuedto any person, any court of competent jurisdiction within thecounty in which the investigation is carried on or in which theperson guilty of failure or refusal to obey is found or residesor transacts business or has his principal place of business,upon application by the director, may issue an order requiringthe person to appear before the director, there to produceevidence, or to give testimony touching the matter underinvestigation.
2. Any person willfully failing to obey an order of thecourt is guilty of contempt of court and shall be proceededagainst as provided by law.
