Policy form approval, disapproval--procedure.
375.920. No insurer shall deliver any policy of private passengerautomobile insurance, homeowner's insurance, dwelling-owner's insurance,residential fire insurance, or tenant's or renter's insurance written uponproperty within this state until such policy form shall have been approved asprovided for in sections 375.920 to 375.923. Upon submission of any form tothe director of the department of insurance, financial institutions andprofessional registration, such form shall be deemed approved. The directorof the department of insurance, financial institutions and professionalregistration shall review such form within sixty days, and may have a hearingduring that time. If within that time he determines the policy form is not incompliance with the insurance laws of this state and does not contain suchwords, phraseology, conditions and provisions which are specific, certain andunambiguous and reasonably adequate to meet the needed requirements of thoseinsured under such policies, he may file a petition with the administrativehearing commission asking that the policy be disapproved, stating specificallythe reasons why such policy form shall be disapproved.
