Department, powers and duties--fees, how determined.
374.705. 1. The department shall administer and enforce theprovisions of sections 374.695 to 374.789, prescribe the duties of itsofficers and employees with respect to sections 374.695 to 374.789, andpromulgate, pursuant to section 374.045 and chapter 536, RSMo, such rulesand regulations within the scope and purview of the provisions of sections374.695 to 374.789 as the director considers necessary and proper for theeffective administration and interpretation of the provisions of sections374.695 to 374.789.
2. The director shall set the amount of all fees authorized andrequired by the provisions of sections 374.695 to 374.789 by rules andregulations promulgated pursuant to chapter 536, RSMo. All such fees shallbe set at a level designed to produce revenue which shall not substantiallyexceed the cost and expense of administering the provisions of sections374.695 to 374.789. However, such fees shall not exceed one hundred fiftydollars every two years for biennial licenses and renewable licenses forgeneral bail bond agents as provided for in section 374.710.
