Examiner--duties--assistants--fees.
374.110. 1. The director of the department of insurance, financialinstitutions and professional registration, through the chief examiner, mayexamine into the affairs and good faith of any person who is engaged in, or isclaiming or advertising that he is engaged in, organizing or receivingsubscriptions for or disposing of stock of, or in any manner aiding or takingpart in the formation of or business of an insurance corporation, associationor organization and the chief examiner shall conduct or assist in conductingthe examination of insurance companies, associations and organizations andreciprocal or interinsurance exchanges as required by law, and do such otherthings pertaining to the department as the director may direct.
2. The director may also employ one or more expert actuaries orexaminers to assist the chief examiner in making such examinations.
3. The fees and expenses in all cases to be reasonable and to be paid bythe company, association, organization or reciprocal or interinsuranceexchange being examined upon accounts approved by the director.
