Discrimination in coverage or reimbursement for covered service bylicensed persons, prohibited.
354.027. A health services corporation which provides itsmembers or beneficiaries with coverage for certain services, orreimbursement therefor, shall provide such coverage orreimbursement in all situations in which the covered service isperformed by a person duly licensed to perform such service. Nohealth services corporation may discriminate in its coverage orreimbursement amounts for covered services among persons dulylicensed to provide such covered services. The provisions ofthis section shall not apply to any federally qualified healthmaintenance organization. This section shall apply to allcontracts issued or renewed on or after January 1, 1984. Thissection shall apply only to persons duly licensed as physicians,surgeons, optometrists, chiropractors, dentists, psychologists,pharmacists, pharmacies, or podiatrists, as defined by and inaccordance with the statutes of the state of Missouri.
