Transplant of embryo considered veterinary practice, when.
340.220. It is considered the practice of veterinary medicine to useany invasive procedure to remove any embryo from an animal for the purposeof transplanting such embryo into another female animal or for the purposeof cryopreserving such embryo, or to implant such embryo into an animal.It is not considered the practice of veterinary medicine for a person orthat person's full-time employees to remove an embryo from the person's ownanimal for the purpose of transplanting or cryopreserving such embryo or toimplant an embryo into the person's own animal; however, ownership of theanimal shall not be transferred or the employment of any person changed forthe purpose of circumventing sections 340.200 to 340.330.
