335.026. 1. Before entering upon their duties, members ofthe board shall make and file with the secretary of state theoath of office required by article VII, section 11 of theConstitution of Missouri, for all civil officers of this state.
2. Any member of the board may be removed by the governorfor misconduct, incompetency or neglect of duty. Before anymember may be so removed, he shall be given a hearing and mayappear in his own behalf, may be represented by counsel, and maypresent witness or other evidence. Any person aggrieved by theaction of the governor after the hearing may appeal as providedin chapter 536, RSMo.
3. The board shall meet at least once each year asdetermined by the board. The board may hold such additionalmeetings during the year as may be deemed necessary to performits duties. A majority of the board, including at least oneofficer, shall constitute a quorum for the conducting ofbusiness.
4. Each member of the board shall receive as compensation anamount set by the board not to exceed fifty dollars for each daydevoted to the affairs of the board; and shall be entitled toreimbursement of their expenses necessarily incurred in thedischarge of their official duties.
