306.120. 1. No person shall operate a vessel on any watersof this state for towing a person or persons on water skis, or asurfboard, or similar device unless there is in the vessel aperson, in addition to the operator, in a position to observe theprogress of the person or persons being towed, unless such vesselis equipped with a ski mirror as approved by the division ofwater safety.
2. No person shall operate a vessel on any waters of thisstate towing a person or persons on water skis, a surfboard, orsimilar device, nor shall any person engage in water skiing,surfboarding, or similar activity during the time between sunsetand sunrise.
3. The provisions of subsections 1 and 2 of this section donot apply to a performer engaged in a professional exhibition ora person or persons engaged in an activity authorized undersection 306.130.
4. No person shall operate or manipulate any vessel, towrope or other device by which the direction or location of waterskis, a surfboard, or similar device may be affected orcontrolled in a way to cause the water skis, surfboard, orsimilar device, or any person thereon to collide with or strikeagainst any object or person.
