305.545. 1. The Missouri-St. Louis metropolitan airportauthority may expand the boundaries to include all or part ofMadison, Monroe, and St. Clair counties in the state of Illinoisprovided that:
(1) The state of Illinois shall dissolve and terminate, inthe same manner as created, any authorities, or districts, actingin the same, or similar, manner as the Missouri-St. Louismetropolitan airport authority;
(2) The state of Illinois has provided for such counties tobecome a part of the authority and to be subject to all theprovisions, duties and powers as provided in sections 305.500 to305.585.
2. The presiding officer of each county within the state ofIllinois which is added to the authority shall appoint one memberof the authority in the same manner as provided for counties andthe city of St. Louis in the state of Missouri.
3. Expansion of the boundaries of the Missouri-St. Louismetropolitan airport authority by inclusion of additionalcounties shall not change the name of the authority, except theinclusion, or addition, of a county or counties in the state ofIllinois shall change the name of the authority by deleting theword "Missouri", and such deletion will not change or alter thepurposes of sections 305.500 to 305.585.
