Technical advice, who shall give--approved airport design maintained.
305.233. 1. The department of transportation may providefree technical advice in planning, constructing, andoperating a public airport to any city, town or* county operatingor proposing to operate an airport. In order to insurecompatibility with and maximum participation in federal programsfor the operation and improvement of airports, the departmentshall provide technical representation, promotion, planning andengineering advice to the cities, towns or* counties for theadvancement of an aviation program, and in order to insureeffective and efficient use of state funds to aid the cities,towns and counties in the operation, construction and improvementof airports shall develop and maintain a state airport plan.
2. The department shall also develop and maintain an"approved airport design" using standard design criteria toassure the safety and well-being of the airport user and the bestuses of state and local funds.
