Motorcycle safety program advisory committee--members, terms,qualifications--chairman, how appointed--meeting--expenses.
302.136. The director shall by regulation establish the "MotorcycleSafety Program Advisory Committee" to assist in the development andimplementation of the program. The committee shall consist of sevenmembers and shall include members representing the motoring public,motorcycle dealerships, motorcycle instructors, law enforcement agencies,the motorcycle safety education program, and the department of publicsafety. Beginning on August 28, 1999, the governor shall appoint themembers of the committee for terms of three years; except those firstappointed by the governor, two shall be for terms of one year, two shall befor terms of two years and three shall be for terms of three years. Thecommittee shall appoint a chairman and meet at least two times per year.Members shall serve without compensation, but may be reimbursed for theirreasonable expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
