Missouri Task Force One special license plate, application, fee.
301.3107. 1. Any member of Missouri Task Force One may receivespecial license plates as prescribed by this section, for any motor vehiclesuch person owns, either solely or jointly, other than an apportioned motorvehicle or a commercial motor vehicle licensed in excess of eighteenthousand pounds gross weight. Any member of Missouri Task Force One mayannually apply for such license plates.
2. Upon presentation of the appropriate proof of eligibility asdetermined by the director and annual payment of a fifteen dollar fee inaddition to the registration fee, and other documents which may be requiredby law, the department of revenue shall issue to the vehicle owner apersonalized license plate which shall bear an appropriate configuration tobe determined by the director, with the words "MISSOURI TASK FORCE ONE" inplace of the words "SHOW-ME STATE". Such license plates shall be made withfully reflective material with a common color scheme and design, shall beclearly visible at night, and shall be aesthetically attractive, asprescribed by section 301.130. Notwithstanding the provisions of section301.144, no additional fee shall be charged for the personalization oflicense plates pursuant to this section.
3. No more than one set of license plates shall be issued pursuant tothis section to a qualified applicant. License plates issued pursuant tothis section shall not be transferable to any other person except that anyregistered co-owner of the motor vehicle shall be entitled to operate themotor vehicle with such plates for the duration of the year licensed in theevent of the death of the qualified person. The director of revenue shallmake necessary rules and regulations for the administration of thissection, and shall design all necessary forms required by this section. Norule or portion of a rule promulgated pursuant to the authority of thissection shall become effective unless it has been promulgated pursuant tothe provisions of chapter 536, RSMo.
