MO-AG Businesses special license plate, application, fee.
301.3065. 1. Any motor vehicle owner who has obtained an annualemblem-use authorization statement from the MO-AG Businesses may apply forMO-AG Businesses license plates for any motor vehicle the person owns,either solely or jointly, other than an apportioned motor vehicle or acommercial motor vehicle licensed in excess of eighteen thousand poundsgross weight. MO-AG Businesses hereby authorize the use of their officialemblem to be affixed on multiyear personalized license plates as providedin this section. Any motor vehicle owner may annually apply for the use ofthe emblem.
2. Upon annual application and payment of a twenty-five dollaremblem-use contribution to MO-AG Businesses, MO-AG Businesses shall issueto the vehicle owner, without further charge, an emblem-use authorizationstatement, which shall be presented to the department of revenue at thetime of registration of a motor vehicle.
3. Upon presentation of the annual statement and payment of a fifteendollar fee in addition to the regular registration fees and presentation ofother documents which may be required by law, the department of revenueshall issue a personalized license plate to the vehicle owner, which shallbear the emblem of the MO-AG Businesses in a form prescribed by thedirector. Such license plates shall be made with fully reflective materialwith a common color scheme and design, shall be clearly visible at night,and shall be aesthetically attractive, as prescribed by section 301.130. Afee for the issuance of personalized license plates issued pursuant tosection 301.144 shall not be required for plates issued pursuant to thissection.
4. A vehicle owner, who was previously issued a plate with the MO-AGBusinesses authorized by this section but who does not provide anemblem-use authorization statement at a subsequent time of registration,shall be issued a new plate which does not bear the MO-AG Businessesemblem, as otherwise provided by law.
5. The director of revenue may promulgate rules and regulations forthe administration of this section. No rule or portion of a rulepromulgated pursuant to the authority of this section shall becomeeffective unless it has been promulgated pursuant to the provisions ofchapter 536, RSMo.
