300.435. 1. Whenever a vehicle is lawfully parked upon astreet or highway during the hours between a half hour aftersunset and a half hour before sunrise and in the event there issufficient light to reveal any person or object within a distanceof five hundred feet upon such street or highway no lights needbe displayed upon such parked vehicle.
2. Whenever a vehicle is parked or stopped upon a roadway orshoulder adjacent thereto, whether attended or unattended, duringthe hours between a half hour after sunset and a half hour beforesunrise and there is not sufficient light to reveal any person orobject within a distance of five hundred feet upon such highway,such vehicle so parked or stopped shall be equipped with one ormore lamps meeting the following requirements: At least one lampshall display a white or amber light visible from a distance offive hundred feet to the front of the vehicle, and the same lampor at least one other lamp shall display a red light visible froma distance of five hundred feet to the rear of the vehicle, andthe location of said lamp or lamps shall always be such that atleast one lamp or combination of lamps meeting the requirementsof this section is installed as near as practicable to the sideof the vehicle which is closer to passing traffic. The foregoingprovisions shall not apply to a motor driven cycle.
3. Any lighted head lamps upon a parked vehicle shall bedepressed or dimmed.
