Fire safety requirements.
293.170. 1. Each mine shall be provided with suitablefirefighting equipment, adequate for the size of the mine and thetype of operations conducted.
2. Underground storage places for highly combustiblematerial, lubricating oil and grease shall be of fireproofconstruction. Lubricating oil and grease kept in face regions orother working places shall be in portable, closed, metalcontainers.
3. Underground structures, transformer stations,battery-charging stations, substations, and permanent pumproomsshall be of fireproof construction.
