Employer's trade secrets, department to protect--disclosure of bypublic employees and officers, penalty.
292.610. 1. Trade secret claims by an employer shall be made to thedepartment and subject to the same protection as and treated in a mannersimilar to and authorized by Title III, Emergency Planning and CommunityRight-to-Know, of the federal Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of1986, Public Law 99-499.
2. No officer, employee, or agent of any state or municipal department,agency, commission members, members and employees of district and localemergency planning committees, or authority shall disclose to anyone in anymanner any record or portions thereof protected pursuant to the provisions ofsections 292.600 to 292.625 and Title III, Emergency Response and CommunityRight-to-Know, of the federal Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of1986, Public Law 99-499, which are within his custody or knowledge for as longas such record or portions thereof shall be so exempted or until a finaljudicial denial of such exemption is rendered. Any person who violates anyprovision of this section commits the crime of misuse of official informationand may be punished as provided in section 576.050, RSMo.
