287.360. For any violation of the provisions of this chapter thedirector of the department of insurance, financial institutions andprofessional registration may suspend or revoke the authority of any insurancecarrier to do business in this state. If any insurance carrier fails ordelays to pay any compensation finally determined to be due, the directorshall hear the complaint, and if such failure is without reasonable excuse hemay revoke or suspend the authority of such carrier to do business in thisstate, and in a proper case may apply for the appointment of a receiver forsuch carrier.
