267.585. 1. Owners and operators of railroads, trucks,airplanes and other conveyances are forbidden to move anylivestock, animals or birds through, into or within the stateexcept in compliance with the provisions set forth in sections267.560 to 267.660 and such rules and regulations of thedepartment as may be adopted hereunder.
2. All railway cars, trucks, airplanes and other conveyancesused in the transportation of livestock and birds of any kindshall be maintained in a clean sanitary condition.
3. Owners and operators of railway cars, trucks, airplanesand other conveyances that have been used for the movement of anylivestock, animals or birds infected with or exposed to anyinfectious, contagious or communicable disease shall be requiredto have such cars, trucks, airplanes and other conveyancesthoroughly cleaned and disinfected under official supervisionbefore further use is permissible for the transportation oflivestock.
4. Owners and operators of railroads, trucks, airplanes andother conveyances used for the transportation of livestock,animals and birds into, within and through Missouri shall assurethemselves that each consignment is prepared for shipment inkeeping with the requirements of sections 267.560 to 267.660, andthat it is accompanied by official health certificate or permit.Such health certificate or permit should be attached to thewaybill accompanying the shipment or be in the possession of theattendant in charge of the animals.
