Prescribe disinfectants--enforcement.
267.120. Whenever the state veterinary surgeon shall havesufficient evidence to satisfy him that any private or public orcorporate barn, or shed, or stock car, or any pen, yard or field,is infected and so injudiciously used as to be liable to conveycontagious or infectious disease to livestock, he shall prescribein writing, to the owner or owners or person or persons in chargethereof, the most rapid of the effective modes of disinfectingand cleansing deemed necessary, and shall prohibit, also inwriting, to the owner or owners or persons in charge, theoccupation by susceptible livestock or the removal of suchinfected property as may be movable, until such disinfection hasbeen thoroughly carried out, and that the danger of conveyingcontagious or infectious disease is removed. Such cleansing anddisinfection shall be at the cost of the owner or owners. Thestate veterinary surgeon may call for help on the countycommission or legally substituted court, if necessary, and thecommission or court shall thereupon order the sheriff or otherofficer to give the assistance necessary to enforce the law.
