Right of inspection by commission agents--penalty.

252.090. 1. It is hereby made the duty of every warehouse,merchant, or common carrier, or agent, servant or employeethereof, to permit any agent of the commission to examine anypackage in the possession of said warehouse or common carrier, oragent, servant or employee thereof, which the said commissionagent shall suspect or have reason to believe contains anywildlife not lawfully transported or had in possession, or whenany such agent of the commission shall suspect or have reason tobelieve that the said package is falsely labeled.

2. Any person who shall refuse any such commission agent orany officer charged with the enforcement of this law and suchrules and regulations permission to examine or open any suchpackage or shall impede such action by any such commission agentor officer shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall befined not less than fifty dollars nor more than one hundred andfifty dollars. Neither the commission nor any such agent orofficer shall be liable for damages on account of any search,examination or seizure made in accordance with the provisions ofsections 252.010 to 252.240.
