251.250. 1. The membership composition of a regionalplanning commission shall be in accordance with resolutionsapproved by the governing bodies of the local units in theregion, representing in the aggregate at least half of thepopulation of the region. For the purposes of thisdetermination, a county shall be as one local unit and thepopulation of such county shall be based upon the inhabitantsresiding in the unincorporated area of such county as determinedby the last decennial census of the United States.
2. Terms of office for regional planning commission membersshall be as prescribed in the resolutions of approval; allregional planning commission members shall be electors of thestate and reside within the region.
