State office to assume certain functions formerly performed bydivision of commerce and industrial development.
251.230. 1. All the duties and functions heretoforeprovided by law to be performed by the division of commerce andindustrial development, relating to state, regional or localcomprehensive planning shall hereafter be performed by the stateoffice created herein.
2. The state office shall succeed to all property,documents, records, assets and obligations of the division ofcommerce and industrial development necessary to theabove-mentioned duties and functions.
3. Insofar as practical and desirable, all pending mattersbefore the division of commerce and industrial development, whichcome under the authority of sections 251.150 to 251.440, begunbut not completed by that agency, shall be completed by the stateoffice.
4. All unencumbered balances of the division of commerce andindustrial development planning section, allocated for purposeswhich are the duties and functions of the office of state andregional planning and community development under the provisionsof sections 251.150 to 251.440, are transferred to the stateoffice as of August 4, 1966, and shall continue to be availablefor the purposes for which they were made.
5. Nothing in this transfer of functions and duties madeherein shall affect the administration of the communitybetterment program of said division which shall retain allplanning powers necessary to the administration of said program.
