Application for funds, how made--approval of governor required.
251.036. Whenever the general assembly has appropriatedfunds to be used for making payments as authorized in sections251.032 to 251.038, the state department of economic developmentshall notify the respective regional planning commissions of theamount allocated to each regional planning commission and that anapplication for the funds may be made upon forms providedtherefor by the department of economic development. Upon receiptof application for the allocated funds from a regional planningcommission, the department of economic development shall reviewthe application and advise the governor before state funds areallocated. Upon approval of the governor, the department ofeconomic development shall allocate the funds. Any portion ofany state or local funds allocated under sections 251.032 to251.038 may be used to qualify for matching federal funds.
