247.120. 1. For the period and subject to the limitationscontained in sections 247.010 to 247.220, the board of directorsof any district organized hereunder shall, on or before the tenthday of May of each year, make estimates of the amount of taxesrequired to be levied to provide for the purposes of the districtas specified in section 247.050.
2. Such estimates shall thereupon be certified by the clerkof the board and filed by the clerk of the county commission orthe respective clerks of the county commissions of the countiesin which the district is situate. Upon the basis of suchestimates the county commission or respective county commissionsshall proceed to levy a tax upon all taxable property within thedistrict, sufficient to provide the funds required by suchestimates.
3. The clerk of the county commission or respective clerksof the county commissions shall enter such levies on the taxbooks of the county in the same manner as school district taxesare entered, for the use of the county collector. The taxes thuslevied and extended upon the tax books shall be collected and thepayment thereof enforced at the same time and in the same manneras is provided for the collection and payment of taxes levied forstate and county purposes and such taxes, when collected, shallbe remitted by the collector or collectors of the revenue, to thetreasurer of the district.
