Officers and witnesses, compensation for services.
246.020. That it is understood that the ordinary fee statutedoes not apply to services rendered by any county or townshipofficer or witness in the organization, incorporation oradministration of any drainage or levee districts heretoforeorganized, in process of organization at the time of passage ofthis section, or that hereafter may be organized under anygeneral or special law of Missouri permitting the organization ofdrainage or levee districts, but that such officer or witness,except as is otherwise provided for in sections 246.030 to246.050, shall receive only a reasonable compensation to be fixedby the courts for services actually rendered, that petitionersfor formation or incorporation of drainage and levee districtsand the officers of such districts after the same have beenorganized may prepare, write or print all copies of petitions,writs, orders and decrees of courts and other papers pertainingto such districts and furnish the same to the county and circuitclerks or other officers for their use, and in such event suchofficer shall be entitled to only a reasonable compensation forservices actually rendered the districts in issuing such writsand copies of decrees, orders or other papers.
