Petition for annexation by minor district--service.
242.694. The board of supervisors of any minor district mayin behalf of said district and the landowners therein, file apetition praying to be annexed to a major drainage districtorganized under the same provisions of law, provided the majorand the minor district either have a common outlet, or the majordistrict does have an outlet for the minor district or theyfurnish same; the petition shall be headed in the name of theminor district and addressed to the major district and shall setout in plain language the desire of the minor district to beannexed to the major district; it shall state that theboundaries, owners of lands and other property in the minordistrict to be as set out in the organization and records of theminor district, and praying to be annexed to the major district.Said petition is to be filed in the office of the circuit clerkof the circuit court incorporating the major district, and theclerk shall cause a certified copy of said petition to be servedupon the secretary of the major district at the office of themajor district, wherever located.
