209.332. 1. There is hereby established in the statetreasury a fund to be known as the "State Committee ofInterpreters Fund". All fees provided for in sections 209.319 to209.339 shall be collected by the director of the division ofprofessional registration and shall be transmitted to thedepartment of revenue for deposit in the state treasury forcredit to this fund. Such funds, upon appropriation, shall bedisbursed only in payment of expenses of maintaining thecommittee and for the enforcement of the provisions of sections209.319 to 209.339. Warrants shall be drawn on the statetreasury for payment out of the fund.
2. The provisions of section 33.080, RSMo, to the contrarynotwithstanding, money in this fund shall not be transferred andplaced to the credit of general revenue until the amount in thefund at the end of the biennium exceeds two times the amount ofthe appropriation from the committee's fund for the precedingfiscal year or, if the board requires by rule license renewalless frequently than yearly, then three times the appropriationfrom the fund for the preceding fiscal year. The amount, if any,in the fund which shall lapse is that amount in the fund whichexceeds the appropriate multiple of the appropriations from thefund for the preceding fiscal year.
3. No person who has been licensed by the committee as aninterpreter in this state shall be taxed or made liable to payany municipal or other corporation tax or license fee of anydescription whatever for the privilege of following or carryingon such profession.
