209.050. 1. Sections 209.010 to 209.160 shall not be soconstrued as to grant the benefits thereof to any blind personbetween the ages of eighteen and fifty years who has nooccupation and who, being both physically and mentally capable ofsome useful occupation or of receiving vocational or othertraining, who refuses, for any reason, to engage in such usefuloccupation or to avail himself or herself of such vocational orother training.
2. The division of family services may grant its certificateadmitting to the pension roll any applicant, otherwise qualifiedfor a pension, who signifies his or her willingness and readinessto enter upon a course of vocational or other training; but inthe event any such person fails for more than a reasonable timeto enter upon such course of training, without good cause, thedivision of family services shall strike the name of such personfrom the blind pension roll.
