Benefit payments for adult day care, intermediate care facilities,and skilled nursing homes--amount paid, how determined--effectivewhen.

208.168. 1. Beginning July 1, 1983, in addition to thosebenefit payments for medical assistance for eligible needypersons authorized under the provisions of section 208.152,benefit payments for medical assistance may be made on behalf ofthose eligible needy persons who are unable to provide for it inwhole or in part for adult day care and treatment to thosepersons who would require placement in an intermediate carefacility or skilled nursing home as the latter two terms aredefined by section 198.006, RSMo.

2. Payments under this section shall be made on the basis ofthe reasonable cost of the care as reasonable cost of theservices is defined and determined by the division of familyservices.
